Sometimes having a day job isn’t so bad ;)

Yesterday, my coworkers & I were treated to an intimate musical performance by Alicia Witt. You may recognize her from the films Two Weeks Notice, Mr. Holland’s Opus & (one of my favorite movies) Four Rooms.

She performed a few songs & accompanied by Martin Rivas on guitar & then stayed a little while after to chat with everyone. Her songs are beautiful, especially Me or New York which was my favorite of the set. I’m looking forward to hearing more the next time she’s at Rockwood Music Hall.

I spent a lot of time this weekend driving slowly through un-plowed streets, pulling over every mile or so, getting out of the car to take a photo, realizing Uggs are about as waterproof as they are attractive, & relishing the fact that my car has excellent heat.
